SS Rajamouli - Baahubali (1 & 2)- You need to be punished!!

How could you do all these injustice to us?

1. You showed us how shooting in India(Kerala and Andra Pradesh) can be done beautifully and technology can be used to its best!(except for 25 days in Bulgaria). (and we had assumed that nothing could surpass Avatar).

2.Be such a good story teller- and pause for almost 2 years before showing the world 'Why Kattappa killed Baahubali'?(probably the most searched question in the last 2 years).

3. Create characters so real- who remain with us even after the movie ends? Be it Amarendra Baahubali or Kattappa or Raajmata or Bhallal and his father or Avantika or Devasena (my personal favorite).

4. Dubbing in Hindi - (I leave out other languages). when we have a plethora of Dubbed movies, with pathetic dialog and songs..you came up with impeccable dialog-- Why? Who asked you to deviate from the set standards(read it as low std).

5. One scene and we thought you were getting over ambitious and would fail. But NO...that scene and the consequent ones looked beautiful! - You cheated us yet again!

6. You had a story and not just answer to the question- This is where we all felt stabbed! We thought you would tell us the reason behind why  'Kattappa Killed Baahubali' and would end it. But no!! You had a wonderful story that too with a message! A message for all the leaders - Expected Qualities of a leader, that blind trust is not good and of course communication is a must!

7. Devasena , Avantika and Raaj Mata- Women with 'Beauty,Brain and Courage'. Devasena as a mother , a wife and a fighter remains in ones mind. How and why did you create such strong characters? We are used to seeing heroines just in dance sequence.

8. Action Sequence - How could think of equating yourself to the likes of 'Gladiator' or '300'? But you did it wonderfully! Be it the Animals, the formations or the fights, everything was so real.

9. You had a dedicated team for 3 whole years? so dedicated that Prabhas readily postponed his marriage!! How could you be such a good leader? Your team actually went ahead and created a new scary language and named it Kiliki. (Heights of creativity guys).

10. It's not just a movie. It's an EPIC. You leave us wanting MORE. I can watch it again and again and still enjoy the awesomeness.
You again cheated us by actually taking us to a different Era. Jai Mahishmati!

Finally --- I challenge you to make Scion of Ikshvaku and Sita: Warrior of Mithila. With Anushka as Sita and Prabhas as Rama (Can't think of any other names!!)

Hats off off to the Entire team of 'Baaaaaaaaaahubaliiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii'...

Que sera sera

One of my favorite Spanish Quotes 'Que Sera Sera' means 'what will be, will be'. This quote is so true. I may sound a bit philosophical but wanted to write this for quite some time now. There is a lot being said about being positive, dreaming and attracting what one wants, about not being broken on not getting what one wants. So many books are being sold on such topics and no doubts they make sense. Out of experience, I have realized that the base behind every advice is that what has to happen, will happen. One can't stop it. But one needs to accept what has happened and act accordingly. When a book talks about attracting what you want (say a bungalow), one can't just sit and keep dreaming. Actions need to be according to the intended goal. In achieving the said goal, we are sure to encounter a lot of obstacles. Beauty lies in facing them and planning the next steps. The world is actually a classroom, with each one being your peer and life is a very tough t...

Book Review- The Sialkot Saga by Ashwin Sanghi

When one of the best authors churns out his thoughts where fiction is mixed with history and also has a philosophical angle, we get a book which is an absolute page Turner! Again I will go by the attributes my review would be based on: Language: Impeccable is the word. Story and Pace: It's like a watching a movie where you can't wait for the suspense to unfold. You feel what the characters feel. Emotions, courage, power everything is demonstrated beautifully. There was one point I was questioning the need for exploring Hastinapur angle, but in the end I did get my answer. Pace of the story rarely slows down. One gets to witness various events, starting from India's Independence to the Mumbai attack. Political angle given to characters gives an opportunity to the readers to have a glimpse of India's political change, right from Indira Gandhi's time to Modi's. It is indeed a point to think on how GK(bookish one) can rather be taught in a story fo...

What's in a name? I am....

I wake up early in the morning, dress up beautifully in a chiffon or silk saree, sing aarti infront of  God when everyone else is deep asleep, prepare breakfast and lunch and go and wake up my husband and kids. Both wake up to a beautiful music, suddenly there is a gush of fresh air and the tendrils in my hair flutter. I smile and look at them and wake them. The smile continues. My sister-in-law and mother-in-law treat me badly, but I'm confident that I will one day make them love me. I keep smiling. I cry, but not infront of everyone. My husband's PA is his secret girlfriend. I know but I keep smiling. My maid is into witch craft. I know..but I keep smiling and say 'sab theek hojayega maa'. I'm kidnapped, but still confident and while I'm with the kidnapper, I make sure I'm dressed up nicely. Even when I cry(alone), my eye liner and maskara are intact. Any time of the day (or night), I'm dressed impeccably. Yes I love my danglers and necklace and bang...
